Great things can happen when in the worst of times, people choose to work together for the greater good.

As the pandemic has spread across the country, independent craft breweries find themselves in a struggle for survival. Here, however, in the I-80 corridor of craft breweries and tap rooms, brewers decided they could do more by joining forces than they could do alone.

Three local breweries – Soundgrowler and Hailstorm in Tinley Park, and Brothership in Mokena, and two craft beer shops - The Open Bottle in Tinley Park and Crafted 1979 in Mokena are releasing #SupportEachOther DIPA, a special edition six-pack of craft brews, May 29.

Each of the three brews was created using the same base recipe, but each individual brewer added the hops of their choice resulting in three very different tastes. 

This community six-pack, which contains two cans from each brewery, will be available May 29 at 12PM at each brewery and tap room location.

Soundgrowler used Sabro hops, with notes of tangerine, coconut, tropical stone fruit, and hints of cedar.

Hailstorm used Vic Secret hops, with notes of pineapple, pine and passionfruit.

Brothership used Citra hops, with notes of citrus, peach, and lychee fruit

 The group of brewers will be donating $1 from every $25 purchase to Together We Cope, a Tinley Park food pantry.

Pick up your six-pack Friday, May 29 at any of the participating breweries and tap rooms.
